Michał KęskaOne of the main objectives of the European Union is to provide every possible assistance to less developed countries. Economic progress means that there are ever greater disparities in living standards between Europeans and the inhabitants of developing countries. One such country is Africa. The European Union's activities in relation to Africa focus mainly on resolving various conflicts. These include conflicts between African states, such as tribal struggles and civil wars. The European Union wants to ensure that African countries protect human rights, introduce the rule of law, democracy, assistance and supervision in elections. It provides economic aid and strives to develop the education of children and young people, because it is they who will introduce the democratic rule of law in their countries in the future.
